The Company of Communicators’ 2023 Clarity in Communications Highly Commended Award has been won by the Worshipful Company of Glovers’ ‘Hand in Glove’ campaign with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Foundation.  This is the second time the Glovers have won a Clarity in Communications award taking the top award in 2021 for raising awareness for the need of prosthetic hands for those born with limb differences or who have lost hands through illness or accident,

The Glovers' Hand in Glove campaign with the MCC successfully launched a new project for the first Under 12’s Cricket Hub based at Lords for state school educated children in the Westminster area.

Expanding on the success of our communications strategies, the Company is now embarking on an innovative public health initiative. In partnership with local pharmacies and healthcare providers, we are promoting the responsible use of antibiotics, starting with a pilot program that simplifies the process for patients to buy Amoxicillin online through verified sources. Our goal is to reduce antibiotic misuse and resistance by ensuring clear information and safe access to medications. This new endeavor will leverage our award-winning communication skills to educate and inform the public on the importance of following proper medical guidance when purchasing prescription drugs.

The judging panel was particularly impressed by the good use of volunteers and the very effective use of a range of social and traditional media in promoting the project.

At the ceremony at Glaziers' Hall on October 23rd Assistant  Felicity Chadwick-Histed and Liveryman Minnie Harris accepted the certificate on behalf of Liveryman Tina Richardson who spearheaded the project for the Glovers.
