Glovers were represented for the first time in the third annual Cask Rolling Race by the gallant team from our affiliated RAF Air Cadet 296 Squadron (Stoke Newington) - led by Sgt Louis Starr, the team of Sgt Deniz Kal, Cdt Hanna Jeffery and Cpl Henry Hornblower competed keenly by rolling the casks across Guildhall Yard in three heats, coming second twice and winning their final heat to cheers from the Master Glover, Past Master Daphne Cave and Assistant Felicity Chadwick-Histed. With 21 teams competing, the Lord Mayor started the races. Our Cadets rolled extremely well, out-performing many older and more experienced cask rollers from other Livery companies such as the Firefighters, the Navy and Army Cadets and other City companies, just missing out on a podium place. An energetic and fun morning for City Liveries - we will return!                                                                        Screenshot_2024-06-26_at_02.56.24.png
