Of a year we hope to be

Gosh, that saved me lots! Ah Phew

My forward to the final newsletter must mention the work that the Glove Collection Trustees, led by PM Rodney Jagelman, have done this year in launching their new website details of which will be sent as soon as the site is up and running. It is indeed a really superb site and we should thank them all for their incredible and dedicated hard work in producing this.

I cannot let this foreword go without highlighting the work of the Prosthetic Hands Working Group and their Fundraising counterparts for their continued work and to you all for raising sufficient to have well in excess of £30,000 in response to my appeal. If nothing else in this year is to be remembered apart from the dreaded Covid 19 it is the fact that you have made at least another four lives that much more bearable and worthwhile. I shouldn’t single out Liverymen for praise as we all do this for nothing but Assistants Jonathan Isaacs, Maggie Manwaring, Liverymen Hilary Miller, Christine Heald, Minnie Harris & April Walker are to be congratulated on their input.

As Sinatra would sing ‘And now the end is near’ to my year and I hand over the reins to Master Elect Richard Morris on the 3rd November with the knowledge that the Company is healthy and in good hands.
